The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club announced that its 2020 Mermaid Festival is canceled. “Unfortunately, the current situation is out of our hands,” said President Alexis Prince. “We are hoping to get back to our normal program soon.”
The Mermaid Festival is a community-wide event and a major fundraiser for the Woman’s Club. The annual event draws hundreds of residents and their guests to Indian Beach for a cardboard boat race, a pirate ship battle, mermaid and pirate contests, vendors, food, and fun in the sun.
