Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying potential additional victims in the case of a San Jacinto man charged in Orange County with felony possession of child pornography and lewd acts with a child under the age of 14.
Jacob Daniel Carothers, 38, who worked as a U.S. Forest Service firefighter, is facing criminal charges in Orange County in connection with a lewd act on a child in the City of Newport Beach, but authorities believe there could be additional victims in Riverside County.
According to authorities, Carothers interacted with children as a volunteer at a school in the Hemet Unified School District and as a former coach at the Valley-Wide Sport Center in San Jacinto.
