The Rotary Club of Menifee will be hosting a Back to School Social on Wednesday, July 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 at the Menifee Buffalo Wild Wings, 30123 Haun Rd. Mix and mingle and enjoy beverages, appetizers, and raffle prizes at this event that aims to collect school supplies to donate to the students of Menifee Union School District, Romoland School District, and Santa Rosa Academy.
Suggested supplies include binders, folders, colored pencils, printer paper, college/wide ruled paper, #2 pencils, colored markers, glue sticks, dry erase markers, crayons, highlighters, index cards, rulers, spiral notebooks, sticky notes, tissues, and earbuds/headphones.
Prior to this event, donations will be accepted at the Coldwell Banker Office on New Hub and the Sun City and Menifee libraries.
Originated by Rotarians George Mills and Ben Diederich, this event began this event in 2022 to support the needs of the students in our local community. “Every child should have the supplies they need to do their work and reach their full potential, we want to help make sure they do,” said Diederich.
“Being the child of a single mom raising 4 kids I knew the struggles my mom met each year,” Rotary Club Of Menifee President Kristina Mills said. “It warms my heart to know so many children with have the tools to have a successful year.”
Following this event, all school supplies donated will be given to Menifee Union School District, Romoland School District, and Santa Rosa Academy to be provided to children in need. These supplies will support the students throughout the 2023-24 school year.
