Fifteen teams battled for the top three spots in the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club monthly tournament on Saturday, November 4.
Steve Baker and Keneti Faagata reeled in first place with 18.11 lbs.
Joe Merrill and Jim Wright came in second place with 17.76 lbs. Wright’s big fish of the tournament weighed 5.12 lbs. Travis Smith and Bob Stevens took third place with 13.87 lbs.
All fish were released back into the lake after being weighed.
Canyon Lake residents who enjoy fishing and want to improve their skills in a friendly, competitive environment are invited to join the Bassmasters Club. Boat ownership is not required. Monthly fishing tournaments are held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday that follows the first Wednesday.
