POA gives grace period for boat, golf cart registration renewals

Canyon Lake boat and golf cart registration renewals start today. Notices will be mailed to members.

The POA is giving members a grace period for the month of May. Registrations with April 30, 2020, decals may be used until June 1, 2020.

Members must be in good standing to register their boat and/or golf cart. Unpaid assessments, security fines, horse board and/or unresolved CC&R violations will prevent the issuance of decals.

Boat registration decals are issued each fiscal year as required on an annual registration basis. To register a boat, the member must be in good standing, pay the required fee, and provide proper documentation, including current registration which must be registered to a valid member or lessee with boating rights plus proof of insurance with appropriate coverage.

Golf cart decals are also issued annually on a fiscal year basis. The POA no longer charges $45 for a decal; however, members must provide proof of insurance. The POA does not have any minimum liability coverage or additional insured requirements for golf carts.

To register a golf cart, the member must be in good standing, provide proper documentation, including current registration which must be registered to a valid member or lessee with golf cart privileges plus proof of insurance with appropriate coverage, and sign a Cart Operation, Registration, Indemnification and Release Agreement indemnifying the POA from any liability associated with or arising out of the use of the cart.

Registration forms are available at www.canyonlakepoa.com/boatregistration and www.canyonlakepoa.com/golfcartregistration. For assistance, contact the POA at 951-244-6841, ext. 313.
