The City of Lake Elsinore’s Economic Development Department announced Bobber on the Lake as the city’s April Business in Action Spotlight, recognizing the restaurant’s contributions to the community and its role in the city’s business scene.
Business in Action Spotlight is part of the department’s Building Better Businesses (B3) program, an initiative in partnership with the Lake Elsinore Chamber of Commerce.
Founded in June 2023 with John “JT” Alarcon and Lashel Trigg as the new owners, Bobber on the Lake is a family-owned barbeque restaurant that provides fresh food at an affordable price, all with waterfront dining and entertainment such as live music, karaoke, and open mic events.
Residents of Lake Elsinore, Alarcon and Trigg wanted to create a place where families can enjoy a meal together, and friends—both old and new—can gather. The restaurant has become a cornerstone of the city’s lakefront dining and entertainment scene, known for its mouthwatering barbecue and welcoming atmosphere. Its popularity is reflected in its 4.8-star rating on Google, with over 600 reviews.
Alarcon and Trigg are also the team behind JT’s Rentals, which offers rentals for kayaking, paddleboarding, jet skiing, boating, and more.
Their dedication to the community goes beyond business. They are actively involved in local events, co-hosting the annual Fishing Derby, Oktoberfest, and the Elsinore Idol singing competition, and they support local high school sports teams with awards ceremonies.
Alarcon and Trigg were recognized at the city’s April 27 council meeting. Mayor Brian Tisdale thanked them for investing in the city, creating a destination at the city’s recently remodeled Launch Pointe resort, and for their commitment and contributions to the community, including their youth mentorship program.
