A deceased adult male discovered in Menifee Lake on Wednesday has been identified as Edwin Alvarez-Soria, a 21-year-old resident of San Jacinto.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Alvarez-Soria was last seen at his residence on February 18. He was reported missing on February 20.
On February 23, Alvarez-Soria’s vehicle and some of his belongings were located within the Menifee Lakes housing community, according to Sergeant Dawn Blair.
Personnel from the Menifee Police Department and the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, along with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department search dogs, Emergency Response Team, Aviation Team, and Dive Team, responded to the Menifee Lakes housing community and conducted a search where Alvarez-Soria’s belongings were located. No additional evidence linked to him was found.
February 24, members of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team searched Menifee Lake and located the body. No foul play is suspected.
