In June 2022, the City of Canyon Lake selected Culture Cannabis Club as the successful applicant of the city’s first Commercial Cannabis Business Permit.
Culture Cannabis Club recently received approval on its building plans and is making progress toward the opening of its dispensary in the Towne Center at 31524 Railroad Canyon Rd.
“We have been waiting for building permits since our submission of building plans in September 2022,” said Culture Cannabis Club’s CEO Devon Julian “We received approval on our building plans last week and expect to pull permits very soon. We hope to break ground by early March and look forward to serving the community by summertime.”
Per the terms of the permit, Culture Cannabis Club must obtain a certificate of occupancy by June 1, 2023. The city should start seeing revenue from the dispensary by the end of May, as the one-time payment of $205,000 is due prior to the issuance of the certificate of occupancy. The quarterly community benefits payments of 15.1 percent of revenue or $305,000, whichever is greater, will commence with the issuance of the certificate of occupancy. The agreement guarantees ongoing revenue to the city of no less than $1,220,000 annually.
Culture Cannabis Club is set to open its newest location in March in the City of Wildomar, followed by the Canyon Lake location. Employment opportunities for the Canyon Lake location will be posted about four to six weeks prior to the grand opening.
