An on-duty Cal Fire firefighter-paramedic was arrested on Friday on false imprisonment and multiple felony sexual assault charges following an investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force.
The suspect, identified as 51-year-old David Renteria of Placentia, was taken into custody without incident during a search warrant in the 1000 block of Magnolia Avenue in Placentia.
He was later booked on suspicion of false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, rape by force or fear, sexual penetration by force or fear, and multiple felony sexual assault charges.
The investigation began in January after allegations of sexual assault surfaced involving Rentra. During the investigation, deputies identified two victims who reported being sexually assaulted by Renteria. CAL FIRE is aware of the allegations and is cooperating with the investigation.
