Cal Fire seeks public’s help in identifying person of interest

Cal Fire law enforcement is requesting help from the public in identifying the individual in these photos. Photos provided by Cal Fire.

On January 1 at approximately 10:45 p.m., Cal Fire/Riverside County firefighters responded to a commercial structure that destroyed a strip mall near the intersection of Sunnymead Boulevard and Indian Street in the City of Moreno Valley. Fourteen of the 17 businesses were destroyed, according to Cal Fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Cal Fire law enforcement is requesting help from the public in identifying a person of interest. The video footage can be viewed at tinyurl.com/sunnymeadvideo.

Anyone who can provide information regarding the identity of the person of interest is asked to contact the Cal Fire Riverside Fire Prevention and Investigation Bureau at 951-940-8507.
