The Canyon Kids Ensemble provides an opportunity for local kids in grades two through six to showcase their talents.
Directed by Lorilee Bajema, this sing-for-fun group includes music education, access to instruments, and vocal technique, performance, and etiquette. “They learn a lot and we have fun doing it,” Bajema said.
The group meets locally on Mondays from 4 to 5 p.m. to practice uplifting music with a focus on joyful singing.
The program culminates in a combined performance with the Canyon Lake Choraleers twice a year on the main stage at the Canyon Lake Lodge, giving these young singers the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of a live audience.

Bajema holds a master’s degree in music education from Trinity College, London, and is a sought-after director and conductor. She has performed with the prestigious Bach Ensemble, Hallé Orchestra, Naples Philharmonic, Verbier Festival, and award-winning Angel City Chorale, and is an active Rotarian.
In addition to directing the Canyon Kids Ensemble, Bajema offers individual piano and voice lessons.
