Canyon Lake 9ers women’s golf group wrapped up its 2025 season with a holiday tournament and an awards luncheon on December 11.

Throughout the year, the club records monthly net and gross winners, as well as most chip-ins. This season’s overall net winner is Diane Farris, while Kim Robinson and Shelley Carter tied for the gross winner title. There was also a tie for the most chip-ins, with the award going to Kathy Sanchez and Susan Thompson.

The Most Improved Player of the Year award was presented to Mary McMean. This honor is determined using Golf Genius, which tracks the most improved player by using the USGA’s formula, which calculates an improvement factor based on changes in a player’s handicap index over a season by comparing their index at the start of the season and at the end of the season.

Known for their camaraderie and shared love of golf, the 9ers meet every Thursday for a weekly round of nine holes, with an 8 a.m. tee time. The club welcomes players of all skill levels who are looking to enjoy the game in a fun, supportive environment.
