Canyon Lake 9ers Golf Club announces winners of Valentine’s Tournament

The Canyon Lake 9er’s Golf Club celebrated “love and friendship” at its Valentine’s Tournament on February 9.

More than 50 men and women participated in the tournament. The format was partners best ball. 

The winners are as follows:

A Flight:

  • Gross: Bob and Kathy Sanchez
  • Net: Roger and Linda Kielty, Tom and Paula Hirsch, Steve and Denise Viotti, John and Alice Giambra, and Martha Golia.

B Flight

  • Gross: Dan Buckley and Helen Sullivan.
  • Net: Barbie Spencer and Rose Girard, Doug and Joanna Uhler, Diane Faris and Mary McMean, Greg and Beth Trinkaus, and Mike Buckley and Steve Buckley.

Tess Welch won “Closest to the Pin” on hole 8.

Helen Sullivan, a founding member of the club, was honored during the luncheon that followed the tournament. Sullivan’s three sons traveled from Georgia, Arizona, and California, to play golf with her in the tournament and to be present at the luncheon.

The tournament was planned by Nancy Tice, Denise Viotti, Linda Kielty, Diane Faris, Rose Girard, and Mavis Schutz.
