The 9ers Golf Club recently held a holiday tournament for members who participated in a 9-hole scramble/step aside game. After the tournament, members gathered on the driving range in their golf carts to enjoy a boxed lunch, the installation of the club’s 2021 board members, an awards presentation, and an Ugly Sweater Contest.
The 2021 board members are Kathy Homewood, president; Kathy Voss, recording secretary; Denise Viotti, tournament chair and 1st vice president; Claudia Pinto and Shelley Stanovich, co-handicap chairs and 2nd vice presidents; Mavis Schutz, publicity; Joanna Uhler, membership; and Elaine Grady, treasurer.
A personalized rain jacket was presented to outgoing President Sheryl Fine. Sheryl and her husband, John Lewis, are longtime residents who are relocating to Tennessee.
“Many thanks to her years of service to our club,” said Mavis Schutz. “We hope she enjoys the personalized rain jacket she will use as she golfs in Tennessee!”

Linda Kielty was named the 2020 Low Net winner. Kathy Voss was named the Low Gross and Most Birds winner. Elaine Grady was the Most Improved Player in 2020 and Anna Pieters had the Most Chip Ins.
Kathy Russelle won first place in the Ugly (or Cute) Sweater Contest. Sue Muscarella came in second place and Sandy Dawson took third place. The three winners were presented with poinsettia plants.
The 9ers Golf Club welcomes all levels of golfers. Members meet on Thursdays for a 9-hole round of golf. For more information about membership, contact Kathy Homewood [email protected].
