The Canyon Lake Association of Men (CLAMS) kicked off its 2022 season with a $500 donation to the Tuesday Work Group (TWG). On January 31, CLAMS President Harry Larson presented the donation to Tuesday Work Group Chairman Sam Theodora.
The TWG was formed in 1973. In 2003, the TWG drafted its charter, which was approved by the POA, making it a standing committee with the primary responsibility to perform volunteer work that will beautify and improve the Canyon Lake Golf Course. During the 2020/2021 season, TWG members logged 2,609 service hours. Members meet every Tuesday at 8 a.m. from October through June. The average age of the members is 76.
“The CLAMS are proud to help support the hard-working men and women of the Tuesday Work Group,” CLAMS Vice President Mark Inkrote said. “The CLAMS find it important to help support both the clubs and businesses in the Canyon Lake community. We continue with our philanthropic ways supporting those organizations who share in our philosophy of helping those in need.”
The CLAMS is a nonprofit organization that has been in existence for more than 40 years. With the help of volunteers, the organization raises money to help those in need. CLAMS membership is open to all Canyon Lake men who have a desire for friendship, volunteering, fundraising, and fun.
