Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club holds first night tournament of 2023 season

Ten teams participated in the Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club tournament on Saturday. It was the first night tournament of the 2023 season.

Jeremy Duncan and Keneti Faagata reeled in first place with five fish weighing in at 20.10 lbs. Faagata also caught the biggest fish of the day, a bass weighing in at 10.82 lbs.

Mark White and Gunner Campbell took second place with 17.17 lbs. of fish. Jeremy Evans and Bryan Hildebrand rounded out the top three with 16.54 lbs.

All 10 teams caught and weighed in the five fish limit.

Canyon Lake residents who enjoy fishing and want to improve their skills in a friendly, competitive environment are invited to join the Bassmasters Club. Monthly fishing tournaments are held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday that follows the first Wednesday. Summer tournaments are held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. For more information, contact Chuck Moreno at 951-837-5941.
