Nordsleck, Smith secure first place in Canyon Lake Bassmasters’ first club tournament of 2025

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters Club held its first club tournament of 2025 on Saturday, with anglers showcasing impressive catches.

Terry Nordsleck and Travis Smith secured first place with a fish weight of 18.13, anchored by the tournament’s biggest bass at 4.84 lbs.

Damon Hole and Rich Tucker reeled in second place, tipping the scale with 17.39 lbs.

Kevin Hugo and Chris Kipp rounded out the top three, bringing in 15.45 lbs.

The Canyon Lake Bassmasters’ tournaments provide an exciting opportunity for anglers of all skill levels to showcase their talents and enjoy friendly competition on the water.

Canyon Lake residents who enjoy fishing and want to improve their skills in a friendly, competitive environment are invited to join the Bassmasters Club. Monthly fishing tournaments are held from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first Saturday that follows the first Wednesday. Summer tournaments are held from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
