Due to the rapid growth of the pickleball sport, the POA Board of Directors on Tuesday approved a 28-day reading for a new rule that prohibits pickleball players from playing more than two games in a row when other players are waiting to use the court. The fine for violating this rule is $100.
Located at Eastport Park, the pickleball courts are open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The following rules apply:
- Non-marking athletic shoes must be worn on the pickleball courts at all times.
- Loitering is prohibited on the pickleball courts. Only pickleball players and/or maintenance personnel are allowed on the pickleball courts or parking lot adjacent.
- No foul language is allowed within 25 feet of the pickleball courts/perimeter fencing.
- Bicycles are not permitted on the pickleball courts.
- No skateboard riding is allowed on or within the pickleball courts/perimeter fencing.
- No scooters are permitted on or within the pickleball courts/perimeter fencing.
- No rollerblades are allowed on or within the pickleball courts/perimeter fencing.
- No pets are permitted on or within the pickleball courts/perimeter fencing at any time.
