Canyon Lake business licenses expire on December 31. The business license renewal fee is $130. Payment must be received or postmarked by January 31, 2022, to avoid a late fee. A $63 late fee applies if received between February 1 and February 28. A $126 late fee applies if received after February 28.
Individuals who are longer conducting business within the city are required to inform the city that business has been discontinued. Those who do not notify the city may receive an administration citation.
All businesses operating within the City of Canyon Lake, including home-based businesses, are required to have a business license. Businesses based outside the city limits that conduct a business, service, or contracting work within the city are also required to obtain a business license.
Individuals found conducting business within the city without a current business license may be subject to a citation.
