All Canyon Lake business licenses expire on December 31. The renewal fee is $44, and payments must be received or postmarked by January 31, 2025, to avoid late fees.
A $20 late fee applies to renewals received between February 1 and February 28, 2025. A $40 late fee applies to renewals received after February 28, 2025.
Businesses no longer operating within the city are required to inform the city that business has been discontinued.
All businesses operating within the City of Canyon Lake, including home-based businesses, are required to have a business license. This requirement also applies to businesses based outside city limits that provide services or conduct contracting work within the city.
Individuals found conducting business within the city without a current business license may face citations.
