The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce invites costumed children to trick-or-treat at its 29th Annual Parade of Frights on Saturday, October 29, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Canyon Lake Towne Center.
This fright-free event features a costume parade, costume contests, trick-or-treating, carnival games, and a DJ.
Using the chamber’s Treasure Map, trick-or-treaters will be guided to participating businesses passing out candy in the Towne Center. Trick-or-treaters will receive a stamp on their maps at each stop. Those who turn in their completed maps will be eligible for a prize drawing.
Treasure Maps will be available at the check-in table and at Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, Pack, Wrap, and Post, and Daisy Dukez.
The costume parade will start at 11:30 a.m., followed by the costume contests. Contestants must register at the check-in table no later than 11:30 a.m. Each contestant will receive a number that will correspond to the category they are entered in.
The categories are Best Ensemble/Family, ages one and younger, ages two to five, ages six and seven, and ages eight and nine. Trophies will be awarded to the winners in each category.
