The Canyon Lake Chamber of Commerce has invited the five candidates running for City Council to participate in its Meet the Candidates Forum on September 3. All five candidates have accepted the chamber’s invitation.
In the past, this event was held in-person with audience participation; however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s event will be streamed live on the chamber’s Facebook page. The video will be posted in its entirety on the chamber’s website and Facebook page at a later date.
Each candidate will be given 30 minutes to complete an opening statement, a series of interview questions, and a closing statement.
The candidates will be interviewed in the order they appear on the ballot, starting with Jim Randle at 9 a.m. Incumbent Larry Greene will be interviewed at 9:40 a.m, incumbent Jordan Ehrendranz at 10:20, Dale Welty at 11 a.m., and Paul Kakis at 11:40 a.m.
Chamber President Jeanne O’Dell will serve as the moderator and Canyon Lake Mayor Pro Tem Kasey Castillo will serve as the timekeeper.
