The Canyon Lake Choraleers wrapped up their final rehearsal on Wednesday and are ready for their first performance in two years.
The Choraleers invite the community to join them on a musical journey to Africa as they present Spirit of Africa on Friday, May 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the lodge. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
General admission tickets cost $20 and can be purchased online at canyonlakechoraleers.brownpapertickets.com, in person at the POA office, from any member of the Choraleers, and at the door.
Spirit of Africa features pieces written in Swahili and Zulu, an entertaining medley from “The Lion King,” and the song “Africa” by the band Toto. The youth singers are returning this year and will be ending the performance with a surprise grand finale.
During intermission, attendees will have an opportunity to enter a drawing for a chance to win themed baskets filled with a variety of items valued at $100 or more.
