Do you sing in the shower or while driving in your car? Do you find yourself tapping your foot to a good beat? If you do, the Canyon Lake Choraleers need you.

The Choraleers are seeking singers and musicians. The singing group is made up of members of the Canyon Lake community and surrounding areas. The Choraleers perform two major productions plus community events throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Monday evening from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m in the Council Chamber at City Hall.

The Choraleers perform under the professional direction of Lorilee Bajema. Auditions are not required unless trying out for a solo part. The ability to read music is not a requirement but helpful.

The members of the Choraleers are preparing for their May concert, “Spirit of Africa,” The program features energetic songs in Swahili, spirituals, a medley from “The Lion King,” and the song “Africa” by the band Toto. “The music is challenging yet fun, with a surprise finale to steal the show,” President Larry Garland said.
