The next meeting of the Canyon Lake Chronic Illness Support Group will be held on Monday, June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at a new location, 31534 Railroad Canyon Rd., Ste. J (in the CPR building).
The meetings are free to attend and open to anyone who has a chronic medical condition or illness. Caretakers are also welcome. Reservations are not required.
Formed in March 2018 by resident Steven Prince, who suffered five strokes between May 2014 and October 2015, the group’s purpose is to bring together individuals who have chronic illnesses/conditions so they may benefit from mutual support in a safe environment.
“The meetings are positive, supportive, informative, and encouraging, and confidentiality is of the utmost importance,” Prince said. “No one understands chronic illness except other people with a chronic illness.”
Meetings are typically held on the first Monday of every month. For more information, contact Steven Prince at 949-293-2919 or [email protected].
