Canyon Lake City Council approves funding for Railroad Canyon Road Painting Improvements Project

The Canyon Lake City Council approved $340,000 plus up to 10 percent for contract/construction management and up to eight percent contingency for the Railroad Canyon Road Painting Improvements Project.

The scope of work includes pressure washing, repairing, and painting all city boundary walls, traffic signals, and light poles, and painting Southern California Edison utility boxes and bollards along Railroad Canyon Road. In addition, Riverside Transit Agency will be replacing the blue bus stops with black bus stops at no cost to the city.

The city received three bids: Color New Co., $340,000; Cotter Construction, $415,000; and Act 1 Construction, $1,035,910.50. The contract was awarded to Color New Co.

The project, funded by gas taxes, is anticipated to start in June and take approximately six to eight weeks to complete,
