The Canyon Lake City Council on Wednesday honored former council member Jennifer Dain for her dedicated service to the city and the lasting impact of her leadership during her time on the council.
Among her contributions, Dain was recognized for helping the city’s efforts to establish its own police department. As a member of the council, Dain played an important role in supporting the vision of creating the Canyon Lake Police Department, working alongside her fellow council members to advance one of the most significant public safety initiatives in the city’s history.
Dain also served on the council when the city launched its own fire department in 2022.
During Wednesday’s council meeting, the council thanked Dain for her years of service, leadership, and contribution to improving public safety and enhancing the quality of life for Canyon Lake residents. Her contributions continue to leave a lasting legacy in the community.
Dain was appointed to the council in June 2021 to fill the vacant seat of Councilman Jordan Ehrenkranz, who unexpectedly passed away in May 2021. In 2022, the citizens of Canyon Lake elected Dain to fill the remaining two years of Ehrenkranz’s four-year term.
