Canyon Lake City Council tables discussion of cannabis dispensaries in Canyon Lake

The Canyon Lake City Council voted unanimously on Wednesday to table the discussion of cannabis dispensaries in Canyon Lake until members of the public are permitted to address the Council in person.

Currently, City Council meetings are held virtually and the Council Chamber is closed to the public. The Council believes that voting on whether or not to allow cannabis dispensaries in Canyon Lake is an important vote and that the citizens of Canyon Lake deserve to be able to address the Council in person prior to the Council voting on this matter.

Open Session City Council meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Agendas are posted on the city’s website prior to the meeting.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, City Council meetings are held virtually via Zoom. The public may observe the meeting on Spectrum channel 29, Frontier FIOS channel 39, and the city’s website at www.canyonlakeca.gov/live.

Members of the public may comment electronically by sending an email during or prior to the meeting to [email protected]. The city clerk will read the comment submissions into the record during the “Public Comments” portion of the agenda, provided that such comments are no longer than 250 words and include the agenda item number and the name of the person submitting the comment.
