The City of Canyon Lake hosted a community-wide cleanup and shredding event for Canyon Lake residents on April 27 in the Canyon Lake Community Church parking lot.
The total junk collected included 1.92 tons of concrete, 10.82 tons of trash, 4.22 tons of metal, 3.06 tons of white goods, and 2.4 tons of e-waste. The city offered free compost and kitchen compost pails to those who participated.
This annual event is held in partnership with CR&R.
