Canyon Lake Community Garden plot lottery signups start March 12

Canyon Lake’s new Community Garden is nearing completion, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Community Gardeners Club.

The Community Garden features 20 raised beds/plots that residents can rent from the POA for $100 annually. To ensure fairness, plot allocations will be determined via a lottery system. Lottery signups start March 12 on the POA website. Residents do not have to be members of the Community Gardeners Club to rent plots.

The winners of this one-time lottery will be selected on March 26. Members must be in “good standing” with the POA to rent a plot. Plot holders can start attending to their gardens on April 1.

The winners of the lottery must visit the POA office before March 30 to complete the Community Garden Agreement and pay the plot fee. The POA will then issue a key to access the garden area. Individuals not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waitlist and will be contacted as plots become available.

For more information about plot rental, contact the POA. For more information about the Community Gardeners Club, contact Kelly Lopez at 951-609-6723 or [email protected].
