The Canyon Lake Community Gardeners Club announced its new board members for the 2024/2025 season.

After more than two years, Kelly Lopez is passing the shovel to Chris Papavero, who will serve as the club’s president. Papavero will be joined by Donna Thibaudeau, vice president; Tiffani Paul, treasurer; Terry Makeig, secretary; Ron Linn, garden chair, and Joan Ke, board member-at-large.

The club’s membership year runs from May 1, 2024, through April 30, 2025. The cost of an individual membership is $25. A household or couple membership is $40.

Membership benefits include 25% off club workshops, free harvest trades and seed giveaways, garden tours at members’ homes, member-only classes and workshops, and valuable gardening advice.

The club is holding a membership drive and members meeting on Saturday, May 18, from 1 to 3 a.m. at 30366 White Cove Ct. Current and potential members are invited to attend. The meeting also includes a seed giveaway.

The Community Gardeners Club was formed in February 2022. In May 2022, the club was approved as a POA-sanctioned club. In June 2022, the state granted the club 501(c)3 status.
