Councilwoman Kasey Castillo was recognized by the Canyon Lake City Council for her work with the Inland Empire Blue Belles and her support for first responders.
Founded by Castillo in 2015, the Inland Empire Blue Belles offers support for the thin blue line. The nonprofit organization is made up of female law enforcement and the family and friends of law enforcement dedicated to the emotional and professional support of those who serve and protect. Its primary objective is to provide assistance through fundraising to adversely affected law enforcement families in the Inland Empire (Riverside and San Bernardino counties).
For the past five years, the Inland Empire Blue Belles has organized an annual Blue Ribbon Breakfast honoring every Officer of the Year and Deputy of the Year of all police and sheriff’s departments throughout the Inland Empire. This event has grown to approximately 700 attendees, including honorees and their families, dignitaries, and station representatives.
