Joyce and Sam San Paolo celebrated their 57 wedding anniversary this week with a trip to San Diego where they enjoyed sightseeing and lunch at the Rockin’ Baja Lobster Bar & Grill. Their daughter and grandson accompanied them on their day trip.
Joyce and Sam married on September 28, 1963, at St Catherine’s Laboure Church in Torrance and spent their honeymoon Big Bear. They have two children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
In 2017, after many trips from Harbor City to Canyon Lake to visit their daughter, Aprile McKinnon, the couple decided to make Canyon Lake their permanent home. “I fell in love with Canyon Lake,” said Joyce. “It felt like home.”
