Canyon Lake Fiesta Day parade street closures, no parking reminders

Canyon Lake’s highly anticipated hometown Fiesta Day parade returns on Saturday, May 24, kicking off a day of activities and entertainment at three locations throughout the community.

The parade will start at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Canyon Lake Drive North and Mayflower Drive. From there, the parade will travel along Canyon Lake Drive North and turn right at Vacation Drive, ending at Lighthouse Drive. Parade participants can continue to the Lodge, Holiday Harbor, or Sierra Park directly after the parade. After the parade disperses and the barricades are removed, Sierra Park will be accessible.

There will be no parking from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the following locations:

  • Canyon Lake Drive North, from Steel Head Drive to Vacation Drive
  • Vacation Drive to Lighthouse Drive, from the stop sign to Lighthouse Drive

The following streets will be closed to through traffic from 8:30 a.m. until after the parade:

  • Canyon Lake Drive North, from Steelhead Drive to Vacation Drive
  • Vacation Drive, from the stop sign to Lighthouse Drive
  • The main causeway at Village Way Drive
  • Blue Teal Drive

The parade staging streets are Spray Drive, Smugglers Point Drive, Sloop Drive, and Clearwater Drive. Line-up begins at 7 a.m. Staging streets will reopen after the parade ends at approximately 10 a.m.

After the parade, free activities and entertainment will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at three locations in the community: the Lodge, Holiday Harbor Park, and Sierra Park.

To facilitate easy transportation between event sites, free golf cart and boat shuttle services will be available. Shuttles at Gault Field and the Community Patrol Office on Blue Bird Drive will run from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The shuttles will stop at the Lodge, Holiday Harbor Park, and Sierra Park. The Canyon Lake Yacht Club will provide boat shuttle service to and from the Lodge and Holiday Harbor Park.
