During the November 12 meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council, Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse presented the Canyon Lake Fire Department’s report for October, highlighting 104 calls for service.
Calls for service include four fire calls, 70 rescue/EMS incident calls, one hazardous condition call, 13 service calls, nine good intent calls, six false alarms/false calls, and one special incident call.
The average dispatch to en route response time was 0.51 minutes, en route to arrival time was 5.10 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 5.59 minutes. These times represent the average of all Code 3 EMS responses in the city. They do not include auto/mutual aid incidents.
The 90 percent fractile dispatch to en route response time was 1.18 minutes, en route to arrival time was 7.19 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 8.48 minutes.
Cal Fire responded to the City of Canyon Lake seven times in October. The Canyon Lake Fire Department responded to 12 incidents outside the city: eight in Lake Elsinore, two in Good Hope, one in Menifee, and 1 in Riverside.
Some of the department’s community outreach in the month of August included participating in National Walk to School Day, the Chambers Parade of Frights, the Canyon Lake Car Show, and training for the Tuesday Work Group.
