Canyon Lake fire chief presents statistics for November 2022

Canyon Lake Fire Chief Jeff LaTendresse on Wednesday presented the public with statistics for the month of November 2022.

Station 1 responded to 85 calls in November. They include one fire call, 61 medical calls, two hazardous conditions, 10 service calls, eight good intent calls, and three false alarms.

The average dispatch to en route response time was 1.05 minutes, the average en route to arrival time was 5.08 minutes, and the average dispatch to arrival time was 6.13 minutes.

Fire response included a chimney fire on November 26 in the 30000 of Little Harbor Drive. The fire was out upon the arrival of Engine 5.

Canyon Lake engines responded to seven incidents in the City of Lake Elsinore and one in the City of Menifee. Riverside County/Cal Fire responded into the City of Canyon Lake four times for incidents during the month of November.

Training in November focused on fire officer training, firefighter orientation, tactics and strategy, and attending MCI drill at March ARB.

Firefighters interacted with the community at Veterans Day, station tours, fire station lighting, POA Tree Lighting, and the city’s Winter Wonderland.
