Canyon Lake Fire Department presents December report

During the January 14 meeting of the Canyon Lake City Council, the Canyon Lake Fire Department presented its report for December 2025, highlighting 94 calls for service.

Calls for service include one fire call, 69 rescue/EMS incident calls, eight service calls, 10 good intent calls, one hazardous conditions call, and five false alarms/false calls.

The average dispatch to en route response time was 1.12 minutes, en route to arrival time was 5.13 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 6.19 minutes. These times represent the average of all Code 3 EMS responses in the city. They do not include auto/mutual aid incidents.

The 90 percent fractile dispatch to en route response time was 2.05 minutes, en route to arrival time was 7.01 minutes, and dispatch to arrival time was 8.20 minutes.

Cal Fire responded to the City of Canyon Lake six times in December. The Canyon Lake Fire Department responded to nine incidents in the City of Lake Elsinore.

Some of the department’s community outreach in the month of December included the Golf Cart Parade and Toy Drive, Spark of Love Toy Drive, and Donuts with Santa.
