Canyon Lake Fire Station undergoing transformation

The Canyon Lake Fire Station is undergoing a significant transformation this week as Hoffman’s Painting kicks off the exterior facelift with a fresh coat of paint on the station, shed, shop, and retaining walls.

The buildings on the property will be painted white with black trim to complement the new apparatus bay doors that were installed last year.

Beyond the visual enhancements, this project includes replacing the exterior lighting fixtures and installing outdoor cameras around the station.

This project is the city’s first substantial project since purchasing the station from the Canyon Lake Property Owners Association on December 8, 2023.

The city is funding this $17,180 project with funds it received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). It’s one of many capital improvement projects the city has been able to make with ARPA funds to improve the station, including remodeled bathrooms, new bay doors, and a diesel exhaust system.

Weather permitting, this project is anticipated to take two weeks to complete.
