Canyon Lake residents Caitlin and Tony Munio and Chelsea and Drake Kelley recognized the need for an indoor training facility in the area. Taking matters into their own hands, the two couples partnered to create a dedicated space for sports training.
Tony and Chelsea are old high school classmates. Tony and Drake are passionate coaches who have dedicated years to coaching youth baseball. They recently formed a travel ball organization, Stacked Baseball Club, and currently have three teams: 10U, 11U, and 12U. More than 25 Canyon Lake kids participate in the club.
Driven by friendships, a love of baseball, and a commitment to community, the couples turned their vision into a reality in just two short months with the opening of Stacked Training Facility, a safe, supportive, and fun environment where kids and adults alike can train, grow, and develop lifelong skills.
“There are similar facilities in Corona and Temecula but not one that serves the local area of Menifee, Canyon Lake, and Lake Elsinore,” Drake said. We’re active members of the baseball community and saw a need for this type of facility and wanted to serve the community.”
The sports training facility specializes in indoor baseball and softball training. It features indoor batting cages, hybrid baseball and softball Bata 2 pitching machines, a full HitTrax simulator that provides real-time data. Additionally, the retractable batting cages offer versatility for various training activities. The facility can also accommodate private parties and other sports that could utilize the facilities.
A lobby with windows allows parents to watch their children train. Workstations with power and Wi-Fi make it convenient for parents to work while their kids practice.
Future plans for the facility include expanding to offer services provided by trained coaches, sports-related merchandise, and a vending machine.
Stacked Training Facility is located at 33575 Mission Trail, Unit 3, Lake Elsinore. A soft opening is planned for Saturday, August 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.stackedtrainingfacility.com.
