Fourteen members of the Canyon Lake Garden Club toured Benedict Castle on Monday. Located in Riverside, Benedict Castle dates back to the early 1920s.

Having been the backdrop of numerous Hollywood movies, the Benedict Castle is often referred to as the Inland Empire’s crown jewel.

After the tour, the group enjoyed a buffet lunch at Empire Buffet in Moreno Valley. The day excursion was organized by members Joan Fakhoury and Pat Malone.

The Canyon Lake Garden Club, not to be confused with the Canyon Lake Community Gardeners Club, is made up of more than 35 members. The club’s history dates back decades.
