Thousands of Canyon Lakers gathered on Canyon Lake Drive on Sunday evening to experience the spectacular color, pageantry, and fun of festively-decorated golf carts parading in the 11th Annual Christmas Golf Cart Parade and Toy Drive. More than 130 golf carts participate in this year’s parade.
The parade ended at East Port Park where spectators could get a close-up look at the whimsical carts. Nutcracker trophies were awarded for the best-decorated golf carts. This year’s winners are as follows:
- Clark Griswold Award: Fire Engine by Michelle and Tyson Mrosek
- Best Theme: Santa’s Sleigh by Rob Mara and Lainie Cooney
- Best Theme: Manger by Justin Mollicone and family
- Best Theme: A Christmas Story by Mickey and Daryl France
- Best Lights: Gingerbread House by Cameron Brainard and Kym West
- Best Lights: Marine Patrol by Heath and Jennifer Ivers
- Best Lights: Ski Boat by Trisha and Craig Brown
- Most Outrageous: Harley Davidson Santa by Jeff Davy and family
- Most Outrageous: Gingerbread House by Sarah and Paul Card
- Most Outrageous: Family Truckster by Beau and Stacy Brenton
The Christmas Golf Cart Parade and Toy Drive is hosted by the Street Carts of Canyon Lake and organized by Mike Shroyer.
