Canyon Lake residents were invited to decorate their homes and enter the 2nd Annual Halloween Town Spooktacular House Contest. This year, there were more than 30 entries in the categories of Best for Young Kids, Best Theme, Scariest, Best Street, Resident’s Choice, and Best Haunted House. The judging took place on October 22 and 23. The winners were announced on October 24. They are as follows:
Best for Young Kids
First Place: 30051 Skipper’s Way ($350, trophy, and yard sign)
Second Place: 28882 Yosemite Place ($100 and yard sign)
Third Place: 23935 Canyon Lake Drive North ($50 and yard sign)
Best Theme
First Place: 22791 Blue Teal Drive ($350, trophy, and yard sign)
Second Place: 29805 Santa Maria Drive ($100 and yard sign)
Third Place: 30013 Happy Hunter Drive ($50 and yard sign)
Scariest

The haunted houses will be judged on Halloween.
The contest is sponsored by Sabrina Alt of American Dream Realty. The entries were judged by a team of six judges led by Karen Bevans. The judges are community volunteers and not associates of Sabrina Alt or American Dream Realty.
Alt will also be hosting the 2nd Annual Holiday Home Contest. Canyon Lake residents will have an opportunity to vote on this year’s categories on November 5 and 6 on the Canyon Lake Holiday Home Facebook page. To view a list of last year’s winners, click here.
