Sally Freyre submitted this photo of a group of cormorants resting on the dock at the north ski area.
Cormorants are fish-eaters, catching the prey by diving from the surface. Underwater, these excellent divers propel themselves with their feet with help of their wings. Some cormorant species have been found to dive as deep as 150 feet.
