“First the pelicans arrived, followed by several other flocks of various birds,” Van Dyke said. “There were two distinct pelican flocks in our cove. One consisted of approximately 18 pelicans and the other of nine. This event happens every March and each time it’s astonishing. Some days are better than others. Today was a five-star day.”
