
The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club awarded its 2023 scholarships to eight Canyon Lake high school seniors.
Applicants were required to submit an essay on how they have been positively affected by living in Canyon Lake, how they have positively affected Canyon Lake, and what they have done to leave their footprint in the community.
Temescal Canyon High School graduate Summer Nee received a “Gold” scholarship. Nee plans to study statistics and data at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Kaylin Kielty was awarded a “Silver” scholarship. She graduated first in class at Keith McCarthy Academy. Kielty plans to study statistics and data and will be attending Mt. San Jacinto or joining her sister at the University of Arizona.
Temescal Canyon High School graduate Brooke Laudermilk received a “Bronze” scholarship. Laudermilk plans to attend the University of Oklahoma.
Other recipients include Morgan Wagoner, Harrison Rowe, Faith McClosky, Annika Stapleton, and Kennedy Benham.
Wagoner is a graduate of Temescal Canyon High School. She plans to study psychology at Pacific University, Oregon. Rowe is also a graduate of Temescal Canyon High School. He plans to study engineering at Southern Utah University. McClosky is a graduate of Keith McCarthy Academy. She will be attending Arizona State University.
Annika Stapleton is a graduate of Vista Murrieta High School. She plans to study political science at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Kennedy Benham is a graduate of Temescal Canyon High School. She plans to study environmental science at California Baptist University.
The Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club is a nonprofit philanthropic club. Its mission is to provide students with scholarships, assist families in need, and provide safe playground equipment for area parks.
