Eleven-year-old Hank Hauger is gearing up to compete in his inaugural go-kart race on March 17 at the Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside.

Hauger will be navigating 20 thrilling laps alongside drivers aged 12 to 16 in the Tri C Karters 100CC Tag Junior Division. He is sponsored by Hauger Plumbing of Canyon Lake and will be driving with the Sanner Race Engines (SRE) team of Lake Elsinore.

Hauger took his first drive in go-kart in April 2023. Since then, he’s been practicing monthly with the SRE team.

“I’m super stoked to try out a new sport and drive in this race,” Hauger said.

Beyond the track, Hauger is a competitive wakeboarder and an active member of the Canyon Lake Wakeboard Club. Hauger has recently expanded his sporting horizons by joining the Canyon Lake PGA Junior Golf program.
