In collaboration with Mentoring Tiny Humans, the Canyon Lake Library will be celebrating Earth Day with a special storytime and a recycled papercraft on Friday, April 22, at 11 a.m.
Children will learn how to make paper clay out of recycled paper and household items and upcycle them into something completely new. Attendees will create their own paper clay earth, medallions, bowls, and other items to take home and decorate or paint.
Patrons who are unable to attend on Friday can stop by the library for a ready-made paper clay to mold at home.
The library is located at 31594 Railroad Canyon Rd. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The library is closed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. For more information, contact the library at 951-244-9181.
