The Canyon Lake Library is hosting a free summer program that teaches kids about how money works. Cassidy Eden from Eden Accounting and Tuscany Hills Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Bernadette Mycroft will teach elementary through high school-aged kids the ABCs and 123s about money. Week one will cover the three W’s of money (what it is, why it’s needed, and why it’s saved). Week two will cover how to start a business and what taxes are.
The schedule is as follows:
August 1: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.
August 3: Elementary 12 to 12:45 p.m., Middle and High School 1:00-1:45
August 5: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m., Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.
August 8: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.
August 10: Elementary 12 to 12:45 p.m., Middle and High School 1:00-1:45
August 12: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.
The Canyon Lake Library is located at 31594 Railroad Canyon Rd. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
