Canyon Lake Library to host free program that teaches kids how money works

The Canyon Lake Library is hosting a free summer program that teaches kids about how money works. Cassidy Eden from Eden Accounting and Tuscany Hills Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Bernadette Mycroft will teach elementary through high school-aged kids the ABCs and 123s about money. Space is limited and reservations are required to reserve a spot. To register, click here.

Week one will cover the three W’s of money (what it is, why it’s needed, and why it’s saved). Week two will cover how to start a business and what taxes are.

The schedule is as follows:

August 1: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.

August 3: Elementary 12 to 12:45 p.m., Middle and High School 1:00-1:45

August 5: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m., Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.

August 8: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.

August 10: Elementary 12 to 12:45 p.m., Middle and High School 1:00-1:45

August 12: Elementary 11 to 11:45 a.m, Middle and High School 12 to 12:45 p.m.

The Canyon Lake Library is located at 31594 Railroad Canyon Rd. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The library is closed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. For more information, contact the library at 951-244-9181.
