The Canyon Lake Library is hosting a Papermaking Workshop for adults and teens on Saturday, September 10, at 10:30 a.m.
Explore the world of papermaking in this two-hour workshop taught by David Robinson, a Hemet-based paper artist. Participants will learn the basics of papermaking, including the materials needed and the various practical and artistic items that can be made. Participants will complete two projects during the workshop.
The workshop is limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. A spot may be reserved by contacting the library.
Robinson’s Paper Art Gallery is currently on display at the library. For more than 20 years, Robinson has been using a variety of techniques to create paper art. He is a member of the North American Hand Papermakers and the International Association of Hand Papermakers.
The library is located in the Canyon Lake Towne Center at 31594 Railroad Canyon Rd. Operating hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The library is closed on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
