Canyon Lake Little League is inviting the community to step up to the plate for a good cause during its upcoming Equipment Swap on Saturday, September 6. This event will be held in conjunction with the league’s Field Clean-Up Day, giving residents an opportunity to pitch in while also helping young players prepare for the upcoming season.
Families are encouraged to donate gently used baseball gear they no longer need or bring equipment to exchange with other players. Items such as bats, gloves, cleats, helmets, and catcher’s gear are all welcome.
The swap offers a cost-friendly way for players to gear up while keeping valuable equipment out of storage and landfills.
The Equipment Swap will run alongside the league’s Field Clean-Up Day, where volunteers help prepare the fields to ensure they are safe and welcoming for players and families. From cleaning the dugouts to sprucing up the fields, there’s a task for everyone—no matter your age or skill level. Volunteers are needed to fill holes, replace bases, build up the pitcher’s mound, clean dugouts, rake leaves, pick up trash, and prepare the infield.
